Brewing your own

anyone here brew their own?

in light of the latest situation, I've decided to add this to my list of things I do to make myself less reliant on other people..I'm already anti- social so I've got that going for me..

I've ordered a 2 gallon conical fermenter and enough supplies to make 5 gallons of oatmeal stout and 5 gallons of an IPA.. that'll last me a day or 2...

A good run is better than a bad stand!

I am right there with ya! Considering a Belgian (double or triple?) or maybe another shot at Double Nelson. Decisions decisions...

dark horse would be the Brett IPA, or maybe not so dark now that I think about it

Have fun and stay safe Joe!

Been brewing since the 90’s. I don’t have the patience for full grain so I use extract started with kits and have never made an undrinkable batch

sweet... got a surprise today, yesterday I was telling my supervisor ( he is one of the few people here I trust and knows what makes me tick) I was gathering a few supplies to make my own brew, he said that was nice he was once pondering making his own as well, that was the end of the conversation, today, he brought me a 5 gallon conical fermenter and a 6.5 gallon brew pot..NEVER USED... he got divorced a few years ago and prior to that was planning on making his own, after the dust settled he moved into a condo and could not brew there, so the stuff just sat... he made that and a bunch of other equipment a gift to me today...

A good run is better than a bad stand!

absolutely...but I personally havent brewed in a couple months (no damn time). Hubby just did a batch the other day to replenish the taps. We still have a few on and some store bought to get us through these tought times! HAHA! Just curious was the 2 gal fermenter a typo? I cant fathom making less than 5 gallons at a time for the same about of time and effort for a couple gallons you might as well make 5! Not to mention just about every home brew kits, recipe etc revolves around 5 gallons. My next batch was going to be a lager but at this rate I might choose something that will be drinkable in a few weeks vs. months!

Simplify.......
