I'm an 80s guy too but FoS, DP, etc were not my 80s ; )
More like VH, AC/DC, Kinks, and some 70s that leaked into the 80 Floyd, The Who, Led Zep, etc ; )

Saw DM at Jones Beach in NY 2 years ago. Pretty good concert. Saw Morrissey of the Smiths a few months back. Always wanted to see him. Gonna see Joe Jackson in July.

Saw DM at the Orpheum and at Great Woods.
Also saw Pet Shop Boys, Frankie Goes To Hollywood there as well.
Saw Adam and the Ants at the Metro, Flock of Seagulls also at the Metro and impromptu set of the Cars at the Ratskellar.

Had to be early 80's.
I should clarify that it wasn't just the band playing.
The headliner for that night was a local favorite called "The New Models"
A number of the Cars were at the club and went on stage to crank out a few.
I used to hang out at the Rat quite a bit in my 20's.
After leaving the Adam and the Ants show I hit the Rat and ran into some of the band there as well.
It was one of my favorite dives to hang out at, there and Bunratty's in Alston.....
