Source for Plug Bottle Opener insert
last year MuskySlayer made some awesome "Spook Bottle Openers" .... I found an online source for the stainless steel opener part if you want to make some as fun fisherman gifts. Here is a pic of one I made last night...

I have used all the above but the ones from Chefware.com (combo bottle and can opener) look best on plug style openers... the Rockler chrome ones are very nice for cherry /maple handles

Another option is the dollar type stores, just chop the plastic handles apart and get at the opener.

had to make a few Musso Torpedo Senior Openers... makes having a cold one that much more enjoyable....

Nice!! here's one I made for my father in law.
I don't know how Chris did it but I used plumbers epoxy to anchor mine in there.

I cut a very snug slot with my bandsaw... then i used 10 minute epoxy to lock it in place. I filled the open slot area with bondo and sanded flush with the body...

Jonny Ducketts.. great job how did the Father-in-law like it? The ones I gave away to buddies last year seem to get a lot more use than the plugs I give them 
Skippy I used a set screw and epoxy. Found mine at a local dime store...having trouble finding more in numbers. Thanks for the info.
Working on another batch for the Holiday season currently

One year later. Need to order more inserts. Thinking of branching out to BBQ utensils. Chefwarekits seems to have the quality and price point for these projects. Funny that recipients have favored the ones where I laminated different wood species and finished clear, over the ones I have painted in plug patterns......

this is great! Thought I had someone who was gonna get me some inserts, but never heard back, so this is perfect. Thanks again! Also, they might be a little more pricey, but the ones they have at Woodcraft are really nice. I set one in a mahogany handle that came out great.
