thanks Johnny, i wasnt able to paste.
I read a few times and cannot agree more. I've said here a dozen times that wealthy people dont take vacations, never punch out. The days of blue blood easy money do not exist. Wealthy people bust their buts and got there by sacrifice and hard work

making s-b.com a kinder, gentler place for all

While the CEO of my company does indeed go on vacations, he gets business calls every single day.

I agree with 95% of what you're saying. Many, many wealthy people gotthat way through risk, brains, and sweat. Of course, there are trust-fund babies out there that just inherited their wealth.

However one acquires wealth (through luck or toil), it's their wealth. Not 'ours', but 'theirs'. Liberals have turned 'rich' into an ugly 4-letter word, and it's insane. One person's wealth does not cause another person's poverty (unles syou are talking about criminals).

And here's what realy makes this tax warfare stupid...do some math, look at the numbers. Tax hikes on the wealthy will not begin to put a dent in our debt problems, it's not even worth talking about.

I've heard Obama say that tax hikes on the wealthy could generate $90 billion more a year. Whoop-dee-doo. Our deficit this year will be more than $1 trillion, on top of our current debt of $16 trillion. And that doesn't include another $40 trillion we need for SS and Medicare.

Obama's record is awful. Who is he going to blame? Sure as hell he isn't going to take any responsibility, so he finds a convenient whipping boy that all the kool-aid drinkers can hate - rich business people. Preferably ones that happen to be white males, wearing Brooks Brothers suits. The fiends!

Yes the rich usually get richer. But don't blame them for that, blame second-grade math. Rich people have more disposabe income to invest, so of course the gap widens. What are we supposed to do, pass a law that says once you are worth $10 million, you have to leave all of your money in your mattress?

I cannot believe we are even having this conversation. The whole liberal agenda here is insane, dispicable, and demonstrably false.

Great post.

Yep. Obama's big plan is $90 billion a year in tax hikes. Even if we assume our budget was balanced (which it's not), and that every cent of that $90 billion would go towards paying down the debt (which it would not), and that we don't have to pay any interest on that $16 trillion (which we do), it would take 178 years to pay down $16 trillion in annual installments of $90 billion.

16 trillion / 90 billion = 178 years.

178 years. That's exactly 75% as long as our country has existed. And that doesn't take into account teh looming tsunami from SS and Medicare.

All Obama talks about is taxing the rich. Talk about 'painting the deck chairs on the Titanic'.

The guy doesn't get it, he just doesn't get it. I heaqrd Obama say on TV the other day that he doesn't think his debate performance had anything to do with the shift in polls. In his mind, I guess 'racism' is causing the shift in the polls. He's a pure megalomaniac.

Simply put, "It takes money to make money".
It was a well written explanation.
Anyone with ANY business sense (or even common sense) will probably agree, which explains why no one currenltly in political power does!!!
