Ross, instead of hooking them and bringing them right into the boat. Hook them bring them right to the surface and hold them above for water few a few seconds, they will ink and it's a bit less messy. Also if you want to ink the person next to you, reel up as fast as you can. Grab the squid at its mid point and aim at the guy next to you
