Thanks everyone... I'm still having a hard time believing I actually got a 50... Never really thought it would happen for me and especially not last night which was a night where I went out to just spend a few hours at the water with no expectations. I was on vacation all last week and fished hard with very little to show for it... took the weekend off to spend time with family and then decided pretty much last minute to run out for a couple of hours last night fishing what I would have considered less than ideal conditions and BAM... Only fish on the night and she took a riggie (hooked up on the tail hook). Only 48" long but FAT!!!
Here are a few more pics from last night.

I love this part of the story. If you had gone with a single-hook like many people say is all that is necessary on a riggie you might not have landed her. Again, BIG CONGRATS to you! Well earned and definately deserved! <still kicking myself for staying home >

You have to be &*^%# me!! Only fish of the night? It has always been said that really big fish swim alone because they are too slow to get to the food the schoolies gobble up.
What a great post-script.

I love it. Just goes to show that you may not always expect big fish.... but you always have to be ready for them. Congrats JLH on being ready for your dream hookup. Like Toby said, glad you had that rear hook.
