I consider any flight that I walk off the plane from a success. If having to go a couple hours out of your way so the plane could land safely is that much of an inconvenience, you could always buy your wife a bus ticket for her next trip.

Conservatism is not about leaving people behind. Conservatism is about empowering people to catch up, to give them tools at their disposal that make it possible for them to access all the hope, all the promise, all the opportunity that America offers. - Marco Rubio

I hear you. I'm not the biggest fan of travel and most of my trips are cross country. As soon as the bumps start, it's "miss, can I have a gin and tonic please?"
However, the ever popular "you could've take a bus" comment is a pet peeve of mine. Unlike in Europe, travel by ground is frequently an impossible option.

With all travel paid for by the tv networks and the NFL. He also had 3-5 days to travel from one place to another in a bus charted solely for him and a broadcasting schedule that was created around his specific travel prohibitions. If John Madden was doing it in a Greyhound bus with torn, crap stained seats, with 10 stops between destinations... then you'd have a point.

I am certainly no expert on flights, seeing as I've jumped out of more than I've landed on, but I have to agree. I'd rather have myself or family be safe.
