Check out the Nebo line. SWE has a few models in stock and can get other models. Haven't used it but the Nebo Quarrow Vista 3 looks nice, is water proof, and won't break the bank. Just google it. I've used a few other Nebos but they are only listed as water resistant.

Fenix makes a nice 100 lumen Cree LED , single AA neck light thats submersible ( IPX-8 ) for about $ 25, at REI. Very bright, 2 settings, low and high, ( by twisting the front ),push button tailcap for on and off.
