Strange series of events. My seven year old son was helping me wash a cooler yesterday in the driveway. He did a great job, always eager to help. He the went to the backyard to shut off the water. He is usually very careful about shutting the gate but apparently forgot this time(he has no idea and never will as to how she got out) and in a rush I didn't check. She usually slept in a crate but I let her sleep upstairs with us the past few nights because it was cooler. I woke up last night at 1am and she was sleeping, spread eagle on her back, next to me. I noticed that she was in heat, cleaned her up a bit, and made a point to tell my son and roommate to be sure she doesn't get out front as she might want to roam. If any one thing was different, she would be out back catching a frisbee right now.
