Back in the 1800s drum (big ones!) were a commercially viable fish in both LI Sound and in RI Sound. So this is not unprecedented but it sure is a cool catch! Now if the squeteague would just follow them back up here.....

Used to love catching them when I lived in TX.Redfish are damn good eating too!

Wouldn't be surprised if someone were to catch a Speck or a Croaker.
