that was my first thought over all, i asked a friend of mine whos a ford guys and who does most of my work with me on my truck and he said no, but that is something i have thought, what other signs might there be if its a bad steering box?

I assume who ever did the work did an alignment after replacing steering parts.
Steering box play can be checked by just turning the wheel back & forth and watching the movement of the pitman arm.
Check the drag link on the left side, typical of a ford.

yup alignment was done at firestone i got the life time alignment. - good suggestion about checking the Steering box was just pondering how to check that. both drag links were destroyed about 4 months ago they were replaced as well.

Floating feeling on the steering wheel. You can have them try a steering box adjustment if it's not rusted tight. In my case it was and i had to replace it.
