FW, you know how your season is kinda broken down into several events... events that kinda benchmark your season.

Early season schoolies at the cape, then the blues, then you settle into your grove up here in boston harbor... finally, wrap things up in MV... for me, its Nantucket.

Hitting those blues is probably my favorite "one time" event for its unmatched savage topwater action. Bass are my favorite, but this is something a little different that I look forward to each year. Your out there isolated on the flat, gettin' soaked, gettin' beat up by the fish... its just awesome.

I only need to do it once, but I need to do it...

Man, I'm gonna miss it this year. Goin' away this weekend and in general, have pretty limited flexibility during the week, so its just not gonna happen.

I'm not whining 'cause this weekend has some other potential for me (to be eloborated on later), and I'll get plenty of fishing in, but it just tweaks the stomach a bit.

GS, I even got a new rain top and wader belt to keep myself from a situation like last year. 50 degree water over the back every few waves.
