I've owned a number of good quality of grinders, even up to a comercial Mazzer Mini when I was into espresso.
The problem with coffee grinders is that even the decent home units still don't work all that well and all make a mess.
We have a roaster down the street and buy all our coffee ground. It's consumed within a week or so and I can't tell any loss of quality in the cup.
