Last storm wasn't bad for me ... no water .. We kept getting little breaks in the down pour ,,, enough to run off ... If it's non stop like before that we're screwed ..

I shored up my shop by doing a little prevention....
... the basement/shop has flooded 5 times in a 30 year period.. twice in the last two weeks...
Last sunday, I cut the floor and installed a pump.. ran 50' of drainage pipe( under ground) out back for the pump to empty into...
this should be much more effeciant than the swimming pool cover pump and shop vac I used in the last battle...
I really feel for some of those folks.. for some, there isn't a pump big enough to stop the water from ruining their basements and in some cases their houses...
