Trying to figure out low light quality but finding little...

I looked at those when trying to decide on a camcorder for the boat.

Was very impressed, seemed to be rugged, BUT, I was a little apprehensive because I thought the price was too low - too much promise for too low a price? Went with a Canon instead, but the GoPro's do have a varied sports following.

Not sure about the low-light quality, went through alot of reviews and there was some talk of this issue.

Now if they made them as a flip up pair with some infrared illuminators on the sides you could use the in the dark, outside or in.
