hot mouth them
squirrels either put a seed in their mouth to shell it
or they stick in their pouch in their cheek to take it else where
you can take advantage of this habit by making up a batch
of HOT seeds to put directly underneath the feeder...
Once they get hot mouth they will depart rather quickly
you can use Cayenne pepper or any other real hot spice.
Birds are immune to the hot spices for some reason.
shake and bake some sunflower seeds with a tiny amount of water
.best way is to mist them -then powder them
