I love this country.. A place where a president gets dragged into impeachment hearings because of a stupid affair, but when a whole administration cheats, steals, and sacrifices thousands of lives based on a series of complex lies and bent facts.. its brushed aside because there are too many problems. Problems mind you, that were either caused or ignored by the same party...  |

He acted on intelligence supplied to him. Bad intelligence yes but intelligence none the less. He was acting on our best interest in terms of security in light of what happened on 911 I feel he was justified and I am betting at the time...most of you did too! Did it go bad? Yes? There is no pleasing everyone....if he did nothing people would piss and moan......so how can you win??? Nothing will ever come of it.....word!

It has been proven that intellegence was cherry picked and contrary intellegence was ignored. The people who were involved with that is who I think will pay. 'He' i believe is untouchable... simply because they pushed the war in such a slick way...

Call it what you want Eben......guys like you throw things like..."It was proven" around and its based on here say and gossip sprinkled with half heard information. You don't like how it went so you want to scape goat Bush! You are entitled to your opinion on Bush but you are kidding yourself if you think there will A) Be an investigation and B) Anything will ever come of it! As others have said why spend another billion dollars on a witch hunt?! There are more important irons in the fire!
I remember the "climate" around here when we went into Iraq and most people were on board......peoples memories are darn short and very selective.

Most were on board because they were lied to. I dont expect Bush to be the focus of this by the way.. 
Maybe nothing will happen and that is fine, but it would be nice to see Justice prevail over greed and profiteering. |

OK they were lied to......is it their fault because they were misinformed?? Bush was misinformed. Regardless Hussein was running around over in Iraq doing "Hitler" like things and people like him need to be dealt with.......and I am glad for that. Bush Sr. should have finished the job when he was in office and I blame him for coming up short on that! Now we need to focus on getting out of there and I do not think we need to force feed Democracy to a country that does not want it, respect it or will be keeping it. This is a losing battle. Our objectives were met.....sweep up and get out!

Many if not all of those on board said they had thier people check out the info before they voted to back Bush. So how do you back away from that. You can't legitimately, but you can try. |

what about torturing people. Is that o.k.? We didnt torture (as policy) german POWs. We let them play soccer in Alabama fields. |
