Hey 10x10!

Ever see a darter like this? You think this is home grown or some old company? Got it at a flea market for 2 bucks

Flea markets are great. I went to a flea market a few years ago and they couldn't sell this lamp so I took it for free. I was watching a show on TLC and the guy was making a lamp very similar to it because buying them would be too expensive. He said he saw some selling for 2400 bucks.

Anyway, back to the darter. It's a screw eye job that are a bit rusted. I know screw eyes lack the strength of through wiring but is there anyway I could put new screw eyes in and increase the strength? What if I counter sunk a hole in the top and ran an eye bolt though it, trimmed off the tag end of the threads and epoxied it in? If that would work, how could I strengthen the screw eye I attach the line to?
