I was just driving by a stretch of beach saddled between some mansions and saw what I always see as a fine site about 5 casts out from the beach. Gannets doing the 30 mph, folding wind dive bomb on bait (and perhaps fish?). Far enough from the beach that Big Dave couldn't hit 'em.

What are some of your favorite sites when you're on the water's edge?

Breaking fish with big fat shoulders withing casting range under a cloud of shrieking gulls and terns.
