Which part of nero are you using. I use nero vision. Actually to back up a little, are you using video files like a "movie.mov" or are you capturing from the camera. There are a couple of ways of doing it.
In nero vision you can either add video files or capture video, then using the "next" buttons burn the video. Nero seems to do a great job with whatever I throw at it (diff file formats etc). It has to recode the video and then it burns it on the disc. I coulnd't tell from your post, but one thing I was wondering is were you just trying to burn the video files on the disc? for the most part that won't work. there are some dvd players and video formats for which that will work, but generally dvd's have a certain file structure that you need to use something like nero vision or other dvd authoring program to do.
