I did some tagging for a couple of years and got the return info back and it was pretty interesting. A lot of the fish stayed around the Merrimack where they were tagged for the summer, others came back the next year to be caught again. I only had two years of tagging and return data - it would be nice to see what happened to all of those fish the last 8 years. Another cool thing was that some of the fish tagged in the spring in the Merrimack were recovered as far south as North Carolina the following winter and others recaptured in VA, MD and other northern Atlantic states.

Catching the same fish - the fish that you tagged, in almost the exact same spot one year later is amazing.
