John, so far the transom looks good in all the holes, its not wet. There is some delamination at the top between the 2 sheets, but believe its neither structural and could be corrected easily. But theres a big hole from the i/o, and if Im gonna hang an outboard there, Im considering replacing the whole transom instead of filling the hole to err on the side of caution. John, Id defintely be interested about the Penske
Zacs, the scupper issue is inherent to the SC 20' design. Either it was the through floor scuppers that didnt drain well unless underway, or the thru transom design like mine, thats just plain to low. None the the foam on my 20', which is just between the outer stringers and hull sides, are wet. The stringers are hollow and the transom isnt waterlogged.
There is alot of weight distribution to consider, lighter rear, moving the fuel tank forward and possibly replacing for a larger one and having a large livewell aboard and having removed all the forward cuddy weight.

Thanks for the correction, I hope you don't mind, I am just kind of tyring to look out for things you may not have considered. not trying to be negative, I think it is a good project, and you will have a great boat when you are done. Will you paint it or have someone else do it?

Zacs, I know what you were saying and appreciate any thoughts and outside perspectives
Most boats that have those issues are waterlogged. SC was just a mis-design.
I will have to paint the whole boat in the end. The cap will need to be reformed to create the lip. I was thinking of doing a combo of roll & tip (product undecided) for the smooth parts of the cap and floor, and use the Durabak for the non-skid areas and on the inside of the hull sides to help hide the glass pattern w/o a ton of sanding and fairing.
Ill give painting the outer hull a shot, Im thinking bassboat gold flake style
