I'll give Berg a pass as it must be incredibly difficult to bear the weight of your child being beheaded and the entire world watching via broadband streaming video.

That being said, I'm not glad he's dead as much as glad he can't behead anyone anymore.

Chances are he had zero knowledge of his demise. I'd rather see a more fitting punishment.
