Ofcourse it does, I would not set it up this way otherwise, it's a 1979 180 sportman, I have 7 feet with an extra 2 feet of rail on either side of the swingback left to fish. I tube'n worm so all fishing happens off the transom. this all actualy takes of less "fishing space" then two back to back setups. The back to back have to be infront fo the helm so the driver can drive, this puts the back seat close to the rail, eliminating valuable rail fishing space. the swingback is centered in the middle of the deck avoiding that problem.
