If they were around , i would use a big trebble to simple snag a pogie and let it struggle around out there. If there were no sign of the bait fish , I would use the eel....rigged not live.

I can work the rigged eel as well as a live one. I can cast it further to cover more area , and I have two hooks when that bass comes near it.

The United States Constitution does not exist to grant you rights; those rights are inherent within you. Rather it exists to frame a limited government so that those natural rights can be exercised freely.

A big Honkin Shad with a 7/0 treble hangin off his face and a stinger hook 8/0 held in place on his tail w/ a rubber band, with the point slightly pokin thru his tail, to leave a steady drip, drip, drip of yumminess (assuming it was'nt pounced on within 15 minutes), when it died I'd yo yo that mf'er, but I'd add a few packing peanuts to get a sort of weird neutral bouyancy.. then when it started for fall to pieces, I'd dice it up, and use 2 rods in current with thill floats, at alternating depths and distances, I'd work the chunks back and forth, one drifting out one comin in slow, I'd toss lil itsy bitsy pieces of the lil heathen, in its own slick....

Dragging sand eels at Race Point at a certain time of year will outfish ANY method.Day or night the bass are keyed in on these little critters and you can have as many snakes as you want, your best chance for large would be the sand eel.

Wow, really surprised how many people think an eel will take bigger bass over live bait fish
