that's the zibra wood..not bad turning, but h*** to finish...large open pore's.

 those are pissa!
save one for me  your jointed's almost done...
those open grains are tough to fill. i put a few coats of clear on them, sand w/ 220 in between, always seem to get tiny pin holes.
