I had a similar experience on Friday, with a 29 pound fish coming out of the middle of a bluefin frenzy. My partner hooked up immediately from the bow, and I had time to come out of the pilothouse had cast a sandeel jig into the frenzy. While his screamed away from the front, mine was much slower and powerful to the bottom. His fish was a nice 20 pound class bluefin, and I got the bonus bass. There were fish all around the striper as it came up the first time, what a show!!
