I would stop everything your doing and bring it over to PCW on Bald HIll rd (rt2) next to Kinkos & Namco. The owner, who is usually there with his wife Monday-Thursday Afternoons knows everything about laptops, and if he is there then they will just charge you a walk in fee and fix it within 10 minutes. Otherwise, if you get the long haired bozo techs
, they will be gentle but probably not fix it and hold it there for a day or two until the owner can look at it.
If its a company computer they should pay the repairs too. Self diagnosing a pc is one thing, but once you start opening a laptop, it gets much much trickier.
