A mechanic friend told me to let my tank run down under an eigth and put in a couple bottles of drygas(alcohol). Runs cleaner/ less emitions? 87 Chevy 3/4 ton I had passed everytime. Helped that the Insp.-station also sold gas and wanted to know if I wanted to fill up afterwards. Yes sir!  |

curious is................ the Bush Administrations position....
Scientists all agree that global warming is happening and caused by humans burning fossil fuels. 7/10 th's of 1 degree rise since 1970....

on the one hand its said that mandatory caps are not needed because of voluntary efforts.... yet what's a car's inspection sticker for...thats certainly not (voluntary) [safety issues aside...]
by our choice, and is mandatory.....

My advice is to know someone who does the inspections. Its all bout who you know. There has to be a few mechanics that would trade plugage for a nice shiny inspection sticker. Another hint for passing emissions. If you have snow tires on they have to do the tail pipe test as opposed to the other one thats tougher to pass. If its before may 1 throw some snows on the vehicle and hope for the best, thats the only reason i passed the emissions and its pretty good for a ford ranger with 190k. he said i was close but was a pass none the less. For me knowing a good mechanic is about as important as knowing a good cop.
