Depends alot on temperature. You said you soaked the plugs for 1 hour each? I think most of us just dip for a minute then wipe the excess off the outside. I havent had much luck with the boiled linseed oil. It takes a long time to dry and sometimes the primer doesnt dry, part of the charictoristice of BLO. Its mainly used as an additive for oil based paints to slow down the dry time so the paint has a chance to level itself out and also to increase the sheen. I was told that if the plugs feel room temperature to the touch they are ok to prime. If they feel cool, dont prime yet. Not real sure how true that is. If you have a few ready, I would prime ONE and see how it dries. If it (the primer) drys, prime the others.
