Karl you got me on those. Are you sure it wasn't called the "needle-eel" I remember hearing something about those but could be what you mentioned. I remember showing that little red head six inch needle to a couple guys I knew one night at the Old Bass Run tackle shop. One was a guy who had a Jeep Grand Wagoneer ( what we referred to as a Cape Cod Cadillac as anybody who was well heeled in those days on Cape drove one) who used to fish Nauset with his son alot. He was a native and he hung out at Tony C's shop when he first opened it. The guy hung a lot of nice fish off Bass Run's outside rack. I remember him mentioning a "needle-eel" when I showed him the plug.

Why even try.........
