A second rememdy for the knee is emu oil made from the inner bones of the australian emu bird which is real hot stuff and is as hot later (delayed reaction bigtime) as a good sun burn.
it can acomplish the same thing. of course now there's peel and stick patches but they work mostly on a superficial level.
