RE:Boat fisherman WITH BIG BALLS to an #^&#^&#^&#^&#^&#^& with SMALL BALLS

I knew that tweak would get your attention. I'm a weekend warrior and running a business and family prevents me from getting out more than one day a week. Even so, since I started the season back around the first of June, I'd have to say my total is up around 550 fish. That's assuming a 35 fish/day average over those weeks, but I've had several 50+ fish days, so that total is pretty close. That's my Saturdays, plus a few other mornings I sneaked out. I really don't measure every fish, but I usually average anywhere from 1-4 keepers a trip, so keeper total might be around 25. In that keeper total are a couple 30 lber's, a few over 20 and most of the others in the upper teens. Not bad for a weekend warrior, but I guess I'm cheating so it's not the same right?

As for safety, I've had this boat since 1987 and know exactly what it's limits are and my own for that matter. I'm not stupid and don't venture out if conditions are not within my limits. I've been working this coast in one type of boat or the other since I was a teenager and can read conditions, waves, sets, weather and everything else required to be a safe boater as well as you can probably read the surf. That doesn't mean I won't push it to the limit, that takes some nerve and some balls, but again it's a matter of knowing what your doing in the first place.

Ok, let's take this to the next level of tweak, since we are both having some fun with this. Out of your total number of fish, how many were caught on live bait (eels would be my guess, lol), cut bait or some version thereof? I would hazard a guess a pretty high percentage of fish. Out of my total, I would have to say over 95% came on my hand poured plastic jerkbaits and the rest on live eels. If you agree that stripers, like most gamefish, will respond easier to live bait, than my total might be a little tougher to get considering they came on artificials.

Let the fun continue, your turn to take a shot, lol.
