The Proud Boys are a nationalistic, anti-Muslim, anti-immigrant, misogynistic, fascist hate group founded in 2016 by Gavin McInnes. McInnes is a Canadian radio and podcast host previously for RebelMedia and also co-founded Vice Media in 1994 but left the company in 2008 due to "creative differences". McInnes describes the Proud Boys as a pro-Western fraternal organization for men who refuse to apologize for creating the modern world, or as he calls the group, Western Chauvinists.
