It's mostly true, other than material support for GB, the US was keeping its eyes to the far east.
FDR wanted to do more but the nation was pretty split.
OTH - if today's politics (last 10 years anyway) were sent back to 1940, Europe would be farked. |

PH put it over the edge but Rosevelt saw it coming and put us on a war footing. Probably one of the most signifigant actions by a US president ever. He knew it was inevitable.
