I use an uni-knot where I want it to break first. It simply cuts into itself when you apply a lot of constant pressure.
Just bring piece of dowel/broom handle to wrap braid around to tug with. Super line will slice you to the bone.
Of course handle of Boga Grip works great, too.
I use 50 lb PP with 40 FC or 40-50 lb mono leaders most of the time.
