Exactly, a MA compliant trigger is supposed to be 10# to pull, I think most of them are more between 11-13# ,the "length" of pull is terrible in my opinion from factory. I was ready to use my M&P .45 as a door stop, until I read up on it. Apex (there are other companies also) makes a trigger kit, that reduces trigger pull to around 5# and reduces trigger reset which is exactly as you wrote, return forward trigger travel in order to fire another round. There are a few gunsmiths up your way that can do the work also. It makes night and day difference.
