Same thing happened to me last night.Only I lost the whole line roller and the screws.I had no warning they were loose untill it was gone!

I took it down to Q at Rivers End and his view is that this kind of failure is an anomaly.He went on to say that VS does not recomend the use of "Loctite" on these screws.His personal opinion was not to use loctite in the event the roller gets bent and needs replacement,it could be an issue getting them out.I agree with this.I will pay more attention to this part of the reel in the future.

As allways,the best service at Rivers End and Pat even shared some of his lunchtime calzone with me.I love those guy's.....
