Went out with my bro-in-law Sunday, Paul for his birthday charter, a little earlier this year than the past

Pogies were pretty scattered in the East Bay, saw Jimmy White and Billy Silvia scouting around too - our sizes were about the same as you got

The only real shot at glory was a breaking school of bigger bass - it looked like we were on the road to greatness until some momo in a Sea Ray ran right into the school WOT and scattered them...

"There is no royal road to this heavy surf-fishing. With all the appliances for comfort experience can suggest, there is a certain amount of hard work to be done and exposure to be bourne as a part of the price of success." From "Striped Bass," Scribner's Magazine, 1881.
