I seen it done but here is something you should consider....I talk to a lot of people in Montauk and other place sand know how and were they fish.I would put a percentage of those who load their darters at 0.05 %....maybe.....
In addition ,Don Musso ,the maker of SS does not do it.If it was me I would search for other options first.Having darter that digs deeper like the 3 ounce beachasters.Putting a 5/0 on the front of SS will also help in digging in rough water (4/0 is what most guys use after they buy a plug and cut the 3/0 in the front).
