Bryan - sorry I pulled up lame at the post for the tourney - at first I thought I'd head over with DZ for Saturday nite, then Uncle Zeke wanted to get in on it, but had to keep a domestic promise.....

I ended up giving Mrs. Crafty a hand in the garden (fearing a hand in the back of the head unless I did) - I had to get rid of the remnants of a 40' tree I felled which wasn't exactly a piece of cake. Ya shoulda seen me whipping a 20" chainsaw around. Still have both legs too - I was so freakin' tired when I got done a schoolie woulda dragged my butt from**** **** to BI.

Ya know, all things considered, I woulda rather been pitching a few with you guys in SoCo - even though I heard the action was pretty tepid. Hell, I'll take waders over Kevlar chainsaw chaps anyday.

Congrats on the high- hook, Bry

For us NCSWFC guys, well...there's always next year!

"There is no royal road to this heavy surf-fishing. With all the appliances for comfort experience can suggest, there is a certain amount of hard work to be done and exposure to be bourne as a part of the price of success." From "Striped Bass," Scribner's Magazine, 1881.
