Two fishermen, brothers, lost off Little Compton

Quote:
LITTLE COMPTON, R.I. (WJAR) — The bodies of the two fishermen who were last seen off the coast of Little Compton have been recovered.

Multiple reliable sources and neighbors tell NBC 10 that officials found the two bodies not far from the rock where they were fishing Saturday morning.

Family members identified the brothers as Valdir Centeio, 31, and Aldino Centeio, 27, both from Stoughton.

Officials said a third person tried to rescue the brothers after both entered the water but was unsuccessful Saturday morning.

The Rhode Island Department of Environmental Management (DEM) and Coast Guard are among the departments who assisted the search, along with Middletown, Tiverton, Newport, and Little Compton marine units
