You guys all have potential, but you want to know who the surprise was all season long, the Clamdigger. He's a natural jerkbait man, I can tell these things and he picked up fish in some of the worst conditions; big *ss sweels and screeming crosswind. Yes he used my spare rod and it did have the 30/6 spiderwire, but that's no guarantee...he's got the instincts.
Maybe time to get him a proper rod, reel, line and some rubber as BM would say. I'm going to work on you other long rodders, I'll make some plastic fisherman out of you yet
. Schoolie, you were a pleasure to fish with and we will get out again. Maybe give you a call for some kick *ss bass/pickeral/crappie fishing come early spring. It ain't all about stripers you know, in fact; I can't wait to tie into a nice smallie in 2 weeks.
