				Battle stations

I have been wrestling with stand up harnesses and I can not find one that really is ideal. They all seem to be awkward at times.I am considering bolting on a "Battle Station" and abandoning the harnesses all together.

What to do think of these?

				 | how ofter would it be used? That boat is to purty for that, go with a swivel rod holder and ride the gunnel like horse. |

				 | They aren't any better than the usual stand-up gear. The problem is that the angler is stuck in one place, which makes boat handling all important. At least with the harness if the guy on the wheel makes a mistake the angler can compensate for it by moving. |

				 | Swivel rod holder is the answer. Gives you and the angler more"wiggle" room. |

				 | That sounds like a good plan (swivel rod holder) I need a couple more on the transom gunnel anyway. The battle station looks like a good idea but I don't like a permanent fixture in the cockpit.
