		 You are right Steve.
I have contemplated that joint style a few times, or one similar. I just never seem to finish a thought anymore. I want to try it on one of my small SS needle things.

Uses oak since it's heavy, and holds up to musky teeth. These plugs need to sink slowly. They are BIG and would require allot of lead to swim lighter wood. From what I've seen they are EXTREMELY difficult to get right, so messing w/allot of lead getting lighter wood to sink only makes it tougher.

Those look great. I am noticing more and more commercial lure builders like Spro, Sebile, lucky craft and Castaic soft baits that are building jointed realistic swimming baits. Look at Cabelas 2008 Master Fishing Catalog and its astonishing to see so many life like creations. The only problem you need a key to Ft. Knox to purchase them. I think my wife must use that key when she goes shopping.

Is the back hook connected to a wire system. I heard him mention anchor screw, but can't see how it would be thru-wired.

Alot of those freshwater swim baits go way higher. Those guys that target trophy largemouth bass will pay anything.

I saw a jointed rainbow trout lure a few weeks ago, molded plastic mind you, not wood and it held a hefty pricetag of $240!!! For ONE bait!
