				 | last two seasons have been slow in the east bay. used to have no trouble getting 1-2 doz., now it's a lot of time to get 1/2 doz. not sure why, maybe it's a cycular thing? |

				 | The really tough winters we had put a hurting on the crabs.  Two years ago it was pretty darn cold and that killed off a few then we had a wicked wet spring and the salinity wasnt quite right for them, hopefully this year will be better than last it cant be any worse. |

				 | heard that when the tributaries freeze badly the weight of ice at low tides crushes them. anybody know anything about this, i always thought that blue shells were migratory. |
