				 Mylar balloons
These should be outlawed...there must be millions of them floating around the ocean. I seem to see one every 5 minutes

				 | No...I have to say I am not picking them up. It would distract me, I am out there to fish not be a trash collector. I say make them illegal to sell within 200 miles from any coast. These things last forever out there |

				 | Absolutely everywhere. Fished off Peaked Hill to Golf Ball 2 weeks ago between 2-7 miles offshore, picked up 13 "graduation" related balloons. |

				 | THey should be outlawed for sure. No matter where you go, on the beach on a boat they are everywhere. |

				 | At least the Mylar balloons tend to float on top. The thing I hate the most is the plactic bags from the supermarket.....they seem to suspend in the water 2 feet below......works great on engine intakes |

				 | After they have been out there a year or so, the printing wears off and they morph into what looks like a man-o-war
(I don't litter, in fact I clean up after others quite often, but I am not going to zig zag around the ocean and pick up balloons all day, IMO this needs to be dealt with at the source)

				 Balloons
If anyone finds a mylar balloon that says happy 94th birthday please pm Me. Pop died 3 days after His 94th on oct 17th. Mom and I thought a nice tribute would be to let the balloon head off into the horizon. Was from Plymouth 3 miles from the sea. He loved the balloon. Its a long shot, but one never knows. Thanks all! |
