				All around 2 piece recommendations?

Can anyone recommend an all around 2 piece surf rod? Need something to leave in the truck. Looking for something to do plugs and some eels, 11' max length, 1-4oz lures (maybe higher if possible to cover that whole range). I'll probably go custom unless I end up with a st croix. Price range would be to $400 or so at the max.

Are the ratings correct on the Mojo/Legends? If I remember correctly they don't break down into even sections, can anyone tell me the breakdown length of the longer section?

Anyone used the Arra 1205 2 piece? How about the SSU or GSB 2 pieces?

How about the CTS, Centurys I hear so much about. I didn't make it to the winter shows so I didn't get to check them out. I think I read on the favorite 2 piece thread century has one that will do 1-5? There sites confuse me more than give me info on them.

Thanks for the help

st. croix Legend 10 ft 6" 2-6 oz lure weight. Rod is Great, 2pc rod, and is great all around rod, and can throw anything. Take a look at it.

I use a arra 1205-2, I throw everything from bombers to 3oz. plugs on it and have thrown up to 4 oz. in a pinch but I wouldn't push that rod much over 3oz., I'd say the sweet spot is around 2oz. maybe 2 1/4. I've thrown eels on it before seems to handle those ok. Used the rod at the canal and rhode island but I haven't landed any huge fish (nothing over 30lbs.) on it so I can't tell ya if it handles bigger fish well. If you have up to $400 to spend you could probably do better than the arra 1205-2

Same on the 10'6". Approximately 88" top, 40" bottom. I can measure mine tomorrow Randy and let you know exactly.

ya trevier just said, check out M&D's in wareham, they got some, mike's a good dude and is always willing to talk with ya.

I have a 10' mojo surf 2 piece, and all you gotta do is hook the lure or clip to the last guide and reel it up, the two peices sit flush near the butt and it makes it wicked easy to just guide through the back of a small car if you need it to. I usually rock my kia for gas mileage (I tour the striper coast from the cape to rhodie a lot) and i put down the back seat so i can guide my gear right from the trunk through the middle of the car. And when my vs and mojo are locked INSIDE my car, i feel a lot safer than if it was on the roof.

I like the way they changed this, I had a st criox premier surf same length and rating for half of last year and the year before that and it didnt work that way, when you reeled it up, the two pieces were staggered....

check out the Lami CSB1202. Great blank. I fished this rod for a couple years and for a 2 piece is a horse. Basically a 2 piece 1201M.
