Spoke Shave Shape
Put together a quick jig this AM so I could mount a piece of wood on and try out the spoke shave. Using the shave will take some time to develop the right touch. Got one shape done using a coping saw, shave, rasp and sand paper. Lots of fun!!!! Was planning putting a lip on it. Now I'm not so sure. It's saying glider/slider to me now....
Overall dimensions of 7" long x 1 1s" deep x 3/4" wide.

Looking good! Nice eye, nice shape. Looks ripe for front/back weighting glider style. Try a 1/2 x 1" weight up front, and a 5/16 x 3/4 " weight in the back, hang some hooks, float it and drill out the weights to get it level (or add a little on top if needed) and I think you'll have your own version of this banana plug I've been building. The LI crowd claims they work well.

That will work! I'd try a big square lexan lip (Moores #8 or equivalent, I'd guess), drop the line tie just a shade under the nose, and maybe a some belly weight, probably just ahead of the hook. Should swim nicely.
