kayak depth sounders

I am beginning to narrow down my search h, on the Austin kayak site I see a hummingbird helix 5 chirp si g2 side image gps for 449.99 or a lorance hook 2 5 triple shot 200khz high chirp for 399. Question does anyone have any experience with these models? All I want is a sounder which has side scan and dsi don't care too much about maps or gps. But they all seem to come together. thanks for your help Charlie

I went with the hook 2 triple shot 7" and it works great in a PA12 last season. Thumbs up for FF and depth, but I'm a rookie at it...
